We were directed to the most amazing hotel in Capri by Request Italy. We wanted a very nice room with a view in Capri, and wanted to try someplace other than the Quisisana. We would never have found this hotel on our own without Request Italy. They are actually more of a personal concierge for Italy than merely a travel company. Our room was clean and spacious, with a gorgeous view overlooking the water and our own patio. I would highly recommend Request Italy! ~ JGR

We found Request Italy online but were not prepared for the service and attention that we got with their service. They found us a hotel in Rome that is truly a jewel. Because we booked through RI, and the manager is a friend of theirs, we were upgraded to a two floor luxury suite with a wraparound balcony overlooking the Spanish Steps. It was honestly one of the most fabulous, special hotel experiences we have ever had. We never would have found this hotel without Request Italy. What a difference knowledgeable in-country travel professionals can make! Request Italy’s Barbara and Rob Seaver, planned our two week stay from hotels, restaurants, itineraries, cultural events, even suggesting shopping sites for the most seamlessly fantastic trip (requestitaly.com). Charming Verona, with the opportunity to enjoy opera and concerts in a Roman amphitheater steps away from our hotel, Hotel Bologna, could not have been a better place to stay to enjoy all the historic city has to offer. From the balcony of our room we watched the main square of Verona come to life before enjoying a complete breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant. Gratitude to manager Isa and her smiling assistants, Maribelle and Georgia, for their warm welcome and assistance. The location and artfully designed modern rooms make the Hotel Bologna the place to stay.

Request Italy turned us on to yet another amazing place to stay in Italy. The hotel was everything you could dream of in a Florence hotel with the incredible views, beautiful room and outstanding service. Through our booking with RI we were given special treatment and great rates. This was just one of the stops on a comprehensive itinerary that was especially created for my husband and two kids. RI are all about details. They interviewed us to find out what we wanted to see and do, what our budget was and then gave us endless ideas on what they recommended, fine tuning it to make sense geographically. We have done several trips with RI. One of the things I appreciated is that you have their personal cell number and throughout your trip they check in with you and most importantly, fix any little problem that comes up. Being foodies, they have a list of restaurants that are frequented by locals, places we would have never found on line or in a book. One of the restaurants in Lucca that Barbara had advised us to eat at, without my knowledge, surprised my daughter With a birthday cake (which was the best chocolate cake we’ve ever had!) topped with a firecracker candle and the whole restaurant singing happy birthday in Italian. I proposed to my fiance’ on a surprise birthday/engagement trip. We both work a lot and I didn’t have time to plan a nice trip after finding and ordering the ring. I got on Trip Advisor and found this beautiful hotel. It only has 14 rooms and they do not book for everyone. I came across Request Italy, a travel planner, in one of the reviews I read. I contacted them and explained how I wanted to stay in the hotel in Rome and needed four days planned in Rome…and I’m planning to propose to my gluten-free girlfriend so could you also line up all of our restaurants and arrange for a photographer to capture the big proposal? Request Italy said no problem to everything and proceeded to make every moment of our trip stress free and wonderful. ~ A. B.

As you probably know, we have enjoyed the trips with the Seavers and this trip was no exception. One item of special note was the planning that Rob and Barbara started when the unfortunate news came in about Brussels. We were on the way from Naples to Rome by land. For a few short hours, there was a lot of confusion over what the air transportation picture looked like and during that time, Barbara and Rob jumped into action developing contingency plans. Fortunately, we didn’t need them; but, their diligence in that area was very impressive. Always pleased with their trips; but, the service in the midst of a potential crisis was outstanding.

Although their specialty  is Italy, Request Italy put together a fabulous trip to Paris for my wife and me.  The drivers, tour guides , and hotel accommodations they arranged were all excellent. They made dinner reservations for us every night at restaurants that are their personal favorites , and now they are ours as well.  The schedule they helped us plan allowed us to see and do the things we wanted, and they introduced us to places we were unaware of that we also greatly enjoyed. It was, so far, the trip of a lifetime!  When we go to Europe again, we will consult with Barbara and Rob.

We have had the pleasure of two trips planned by Barbara and Rob, the first was a 12-day adventure across northern Italy and the second, 11 days in Paris and surrounding villages and points of interest. Both were enriching and fun beyond words. Whether your passions bend to opera, symphony, food—both superb restaurants and cooking classes, wine, art, gardens, festivals, or museums and artists’ studios—actually, all of these(!), a trip with Barbara and Rob Seaver of Request Italy will never disappoint.
