Oh…..it is still hurting my soul and my body to be home. We loved our trip so much.

From the moment Enrico grabbed us at the airport – we were in heaven.

Thank you for your help and direction for our Tuscany visit. You led us to Il Borro and it was beyond our expectations. Truly amazing from the moment we arrived. We LOVED the setting, our rooms, the village, the pools, the breakfasts and dinners….It was quiet, wide open, peaceful…we just spent the days taking it in and there would NEVER be enough days to do that in a lifetime. Our boys were troopers for Florence days, but they would rather be poolside. 🙂 But the days were perfectly planned and not too much for anyone. We loved our first restaurant (Osteria Vini e Vecchi Sapori) so much that we went back the next day!! We cancelled our spot at Obica (don’t be upset!) and went back to Tommaso! We just LOVED the food and the guys who are there were so fun and happy and good to us and our boys. They treated us like family and we are TOTAL suckers for being treated like family. 🙂

Our San Gimignano day was great! The view from La Cisterna (from where I sent the picture) literally brought tears to my eyes. I left the family on the street shopping while I popped up just to make sure I had the right location. An older gentlemen showed me our table by the window and I just had tears on my cheeks. It took my breath away – was so unexpected to be THAT beautiful. Our driver took us through Chianti with a stop in Castellina. Another magical day.

We had the same driver every day (Giovanni) so we got to know him well. 🙂 He also took us to Amalfi.

It was so hard to leave Tuscany. Thank GOODNESS we had another week in Italy or we would have been absolutely heartbroken to leave.

When the weather forecast called for a 98% chance of a “bomba d’acqua” during our outdoor ceremony, Rob and Barbara Seaver swiftly managed with our venue and vendors to shift the ceremony up — enabling us to have our dream ceremony in a beautiful garden with blue skies overhead. We have had the pleasure of two trips planned by Barbara and Rob, the first was a 12-day adventure across northern Italy and the second, 11 days in Paris and surrounding villages and points of interest. Both were enriching and fun beyond words.

Whether your passions bend to opera, symphony, food—both superb restaurants and cooking classes, wine, art, gardens, festivals, or museums and artists’ studios—actually, all of these(!), a trip with Barbara and Rob Seaver of Request Italy will never disappoint. A specially planned trip for two or a group of 12, every detail is artfully planned to awaken all your senses, enjoy every moment and treasure everyone you meet. Although their specialty  is Italy, Request Italy put together a fabulous trip to Paris for my wife and me.  The drivers, tour guides , and hotel accommodations they arranged were all excellent. They made dinner reservations for us every night at restaurants that are their personal favorites , and now they are ours as well. 

The schedule they helped us plan allowed us to see and do the things we wanted, and they introduced us to places we were unaware of that we also greatly enjoyed. It was, so far, the trip of a lifetime!

When we go to Europe again, we will consult with Barbara and Rob.

How can I begin to thank you for the wonderful week of memories you gave us!  I think it is unanimous that this is the best family vacation we have ever taken – and there is some stiff competition.  The house was perfect.  If we had designed it to suit our needs, it could not have been better.  Lydia was as good a cook as she was lovely.  We all were impressed by the way the property was managed – efficient, yet warm and friendly. 

Ferdinando, our driver, was the best.  I am sure you hand-picked him.  He always had a smile.  The fact that he spoke English made it all the better.  He was delightful when he joined us on the truffle hunt.

Of course, the sights are spectacular but without Rob’s explanation, we would not have learned as much which made them all the more enjoyable.  Our meals were outstanding with plenty of variety from your choice of restaurants.
I could go on and on but the bottom line is that we were all pleased beyond words.

Even before our trip started, Request Italy went above and beyond, taking care of multiple things which concerned my daughter and our friends. This set our trip planning in motion since their personal approach and care made it clear that our week in Florence would be a memorable one. We were not disappointed and they answered all of our questions and were available 24/7 to make sure that things ran smoothly.

Request Italy designed an experience that was custom to our needs and arranged a personal, guided tour complemented by recommendations for self-guided activities that allowed us to maintain our flexibility AND ensured we saw the key parts of Florence. Given our interest in food and wine, they also secured reservations to some of the best trattorias we have ever been to, where there were mostly locals and the food was simply divine!

Our day in Lucca was one of the highlights of our week as none of us had ever visited; this city is truly a jewel and not on the “tourist” track. I can’t wait to get back to Italy and have them plan another wonderful time in such an amazing country.

If only this service was available in other countries. It was definitely money well spent.

As you probably know, we have enjoyed the trips with the Seavers and this trip was no exception. One item of special note was the planning that Rob and Barbara started when the unfortunate news came in about Brussels. We were on the way from Naples to Rome by land.

For a few short hours, there was a lot of confusion over what the air transportation picture looked like and during that time, Barbara and Rob jumped into action developing contingency plans. Fortunately, we didn’t need them; but, their diligence in that area was very impressive.

Always pleased with their trips; but, the service in the midst of a potential crisis was outstanding.

Just wanted to thank you so very much for making our dream vacation even more spectacular than we could have imagined. Every detail was so well thought out and out expectations were exceeded time and again. Your expertise is beyond compare and we are truly fortunate to have met you both. I just can’t wait to do out next trip with your assist!
